The 2015 San Antonio Marathon & Half Marathon is always a great event. It was my first Half Marathon that I participated in back in 2009. I sat out this years event despite being registered again but got to see the start of the All-Star pros.

The Women’s Half Marathon event had running stars and former Olympians like Kara Goucher participating.

Former and future Olympians Shalane Flanagan and Amy Cragg were also participating, using this event a warm-up trial for the U.S. Olympics Trials.

Former Olympian and fan favorite American runner Meb greeted the runners a good morning and fun run from the booth.

Aaron Braun won the Men’s Half Marathon event.

Kara Goucher won the Women’s Half Marathon event.

Even the Pro Runners do it for the bling. It was a unique event for me, because I got to see what its like to watch a Rock n Roll event instead of participating it.
