The Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans Half Marathon was an event that I had signed up for before, but never actually got to participate in until now. My first trip to New Orleans was just a couple of years ago. The course was flat, with some potholes in the roads, but overall very scenic through some of the older neighborhoods. I got to meet up with several of my fellow INKnBURN Ambassadors briefly before the event started. I was the last one to show up after taking a wrong turn from the hotel and getting turned around a bit. There was a good, fun vibe to this event and I would have liked to stay longer in the finish area but I had to drive back home since this was just a quick trip. I look forward to next years half marathon… I am already signed up for it.
